PRINCIPIO OFFICE BUILDING

FINAL PROJECT

The principle of Principio is simplicity.

Initially was designed as mixed-use divided into a residential lower piece and representative office volume as the frontal facade. Finally, only the office function was left. Straight geometrical forms overlap each other. Using very basic and modernistic language the building fits the site and the surrounding perfectly. Black, white and transparency are the buildings clothing.

The rhythm of horizontal stripes, which are getting narrow towards the top of the volume, gives the impression of weightlessness. It is emphasized by the transparency of the building’s base. The facade is clear and flat with all elements in one plane.
