INCINERATION PLANT

COMPETITION DESIGN

The aim of the project was to make a pro-ecological image of a designed building and imprinting a large, industrial cubature into a natural surrounding, while retaining the rationality in the selection of means of expression and the costs of technical solutions. On the one hand, the project refers to positive associations connected with nature: forests, meadows, parks, lawns and water. On the other hand, it utilises these natural elements directly, thus creating a waving park which builds a scenic backdrop for the entrance of the Ecological Education Centre, and encapsulating the building with green slopes that cover the acoustic screens. The elm and ash tree from Lasek Mogilski forest were the basic inspiration for the facade: thickets of tree trunks of the lit-through forest, which after the graphic transformation served the desing of drawing and colours of the facade panels.
